BCC Software, a Bowe Bell + Howell company, announces the election of BCC president Chris Lien to the IDEAlliance board of directors. Currently an IDEAlliance representative to the Mailers Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC), Lien will begin his two-year term in February 2011.
Founded in 1966, IDEAlliance (International Digital Enterprise Alliance) is a not-for-profit membership organization that works to advance technologies and develop and implement standards in the fields of information technology and publishing.
IDEAlliance president and CEO David J. Steinhardt says, “Chris has been a leader in IDEAlliance’s postal portfolio for many years and, specifically, serves as our representative on MTAC and co-chair of the Mail Software Development Group. As software more and more defines the postal supply chain, Chris’ insights and leadership on the board will be critical on new initiatives for the association and our relationship with the US Postal Service.”
