Baldwin Technology Co. Inc. (Shelton, CT) has concluded its acquisition of Nordson UV Ltd. The acquired business provides UV (ultra-violet) curing systems to the graphic arts market, as well as a line of parts and consumables (ultraviolet lamps).

Jim Ainsworth, managing director, Nordson UV Ltd. (to be renamed Baldwin UV Ltd.) says, “Everyone in the Nordson UV organization is excited to be part of Baldwin, a highly respected company in the graphic arts industry. Their strong global brand name, international presence and well-established customer relationships in all major markets for print will provide the platform for synergistic delivery of UV curing and IR dryer solutions to our customers and strengthen the competitiveness of the combined companies.”

Steffen Weisser, Baldwin’s vice president of operations, adds, “I am pleased to report that teams from both companies have already initiated preparation for integration of the two companies. The combination extends our previous alliance to a global reach and introduces Baldwin to the expanding opportunities in UV applications and the digital (inkjet) market sector – new markets for Baldwin within our core competence of process automation for the print media market.”
