Fortune names ‘Most Admired’ printing/publishing companies
Mar 8, 2004 12:00 PM
Fortune Magazine’s March 2004 issue has ranked the ‘Most Admired’ companies in several industry categories. Top ranking within the printing and publishing category went to R.R. Donnelly and Sons (Chicago), Mail-Well, Inc. (Englewood, CO) and Banta Corp. (Menasha, WI).
The award is based on a survey by The Hay Group that looks at the top 10 companies by revenue in 64 industries, including foreign firms with large U.S. operations. Companies are then ranked by 10,000 industry executives on eight key attributes: innovation, employee talent, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, management quality, financial soundness, long-term investment, and quality of products and services.
