Solar Communications Inc. (www.solarcommunications.com) (Naperville, IL) has announced the sale of its cooperative direct mail line of business, printed paper-poly technology and collating assets to the Schmidt Printing Co. (www.schmidt.com), a division of The Taylor Corp. located in North Mankato, MN.

All activity associated with Solar's card pack business will now be handled out of Schmidt Printing's facilities in Byron, MN. Additionally, via an orderly liquidation, Solar will cease all remaining print and mailing operations at its Naperville, IL, facility, effective this month.

Established in 1961, Solar Communications grew from a small family printing business to one of the largest providers of marketing production services in the United States.
