Glunz & Jensen's (Elkwood, VA) new imposition workflow, i-Position, is powered by Ultimate Technographics Inc.'s (Montreal) Impostrip core technology and graphic interface. Glunz & Jensen will include i-Position as part of its new line of iCtP solutions to enable its customers to automatically impose pages, booklets and magazines.
The Glunz & Jensen iCtP system is built around The PlateWriter 4200 inkjet computer-to-plate system, which produces press-ready aluminum plates without chemical processing.
“We have customized i-Position to meet our customers' requirements by providing a choice of packages to suit the press sizes in use,” says Mark Baker-Homes, Glunz and Jensen's worldwide product manager for iCTP. “This enables even the smallest print shop to acquire a high-end imposition package at an affordable price. Users can upgrade from one version to the next should their presses change and their sheet size increase.”
