  • Heidelberg USA announces Graphics Innovations (Richmond, VA) is the first U.S. customer to extend its Systemservice 36plus program, following three years of successful results. K&D Graphics (Orange, CA) recently partnered with Heidelberg to develop a unique configuration of Heidelberg's peak-performance Speedmaster XL 105 press with 16 units.

  • Stafford Printing (Stafford, VA) has installed Presstek's PathWay Web-to-print solution; BCT Nevada has upgraded to the Presstek 34DI digital offset press; and Printing Spectrum, a large commercial printer with locations in New York and Texas, has added a Presstek 34DI press for short-run color work.

  • The Garvey Group — a Midwest network of advertising, marketing, print production, support and fulfillment divisions — has become the first printer in the United States to install Screen's Truepress Jet2500UV grand format UV inkjet printer.

  • Muller Martini has installed its 100th Pantera line at Gray Graphics, a trade binder in Capitol Heights, MD. Motivating Graphics Inc. (Fort Worth, TX) has installed a second BravoPlus T saddlestitcher.

  • Brown Printing Co. has signed a 3-year contract with Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), renewing its commitment to use Remote Director monitor-based proofing in its three U.S. facilities.

  • Two months after a fire at Gateway Press (Louisville, KY) destroyed one of its two 40-inch Mitsubishi sheetfed presses, its replacement — a new, 6-color Mitsubishi Diamond 3000LS with inline tower coater — is in operation.

  • Consolidated Graphics, Inc. (CGX) (Houston, TX) has streamlined color management across several of its locations with Fujifilm's Taskero Universe suite of monitoring and analysis tools.

  • KBA North America has installed a new KBA Rapida 142 56-inch, 7-color press for Malnove Inc., the largest independent folding-carton manufacturer in North America, in its Clearfield, UT, facility. MOSAIC, a carbon neutral waterless printing company, has installed the first KBA Rapida 75 5-color, 29-inch sheetfed press plus aqueous coater in the U.S. at its Cheverly, MD, location.

  • The Post Register (Idaho Falls, ID) is installing a new 32-couple Goss Magnum press.

  • Lewisburg Printing Co. (LPC) (Lewisburg, TN) has purchased a new, 73-inch Roland 900 XXL press from manroland.

  • Ward/Kraft's (Fort Scott, KS) commercial/short-run division has added a second HP Indigo 3050.

  • Print, packaging and fulfillment services provider EPI Printers Inc. has purchased the assets of board game maker Delano Service. EPI will incorporate Delano's manufacturing and packaging equipment into one of the EPI facilities in Battle Creek, MI, along with the majority of the Delano production and office staff.
