Graph Expo 2010 honors

  • Brandon Lutze, a Cal Poly Graphic Communication ( senior, took first place in the GAERF 2010 Student Design Competition, Post Secondary category. The contest challenged students to create marketing materials designed to promote next year's Graph Expo show.

  • Royal Oak High School (Royal Oak, MI) won the 2010 Frederick D. Kagy “Education Award of Excellence.” The award will be presented at PIA's ( fall meeting, November 11-14, 2010, in San Francisco.

  • Three Royal Oak students received awards at Graph Expo 2010: John Litwinowicz received his SkillsUSA gold medal, Colin Dean received a $2,000 check for his national winning poster design for GAERF (, and Jarrad Barrick received a $2,000 national scholarship from EDSF (

  • Cal Poly student Kathleen Lee took third place in GAERF's poster competition and received an award of $1,000 for her entry, “Print Is Alive.”
